I previously shared my vintage windows as picture frames but i never shared a tutorial on how to make a window picture frame.
How do you make a window picture frame.
To make a picture frame out of an old wooden window you need.
If you d like to create a window picture frame without glass remove the glass entirely making sure that there are no shards left behind.
If you re attaching the four pieces directly to the rough framing drill pilot holes with a 3 16 inch bit centered through each piece and screw the top on first.
Clamp each joint to secure.

Mark and drill three pilot holes spaced evenly through the ends of the top and sill pieces at each joint using a drill driver.
If so use heavy cardboard cut to size.
Add glue and screw the frame together with 2 inch screws to build a pocket frame.

When complete the glass picture and backing will be flush with the outer frame.
